Fürstenfeld, in the heart of the Styrian Spa Region, is one of the loveliest towns in East Styria, conveys a high degree of quality of life and is friendly towards children and families. Due to careful urbanistic planning it was possible to maintain the unique historic ambience as well as the distinctive town centre. The diversity of leisure time and tourist facilities are linking the town with the surrounding region on a high standard.

Being close to the ambitious European East, Fürstenfeld holds a considerable potential for economic development. The undertakings in the town centre and the industrial estates and business parks located on the outskirts are developing vibrantly. Economically powerful control operations are supporting this tendency; room for expansion is provided.
